KOP-SF Whipstock

Application

KOP-SF whipstock is used to deflect mill / reamer to initiate KOP (kick-off point) in cased hole and to drill a few feet of rathole to establish sidetrack.

Design

The whipstock is set on the bottom. It is run in conjunction with FSO window-starting mill and FA watermelon mill. That permits single trip sidetracking (tripping in, setting, window milling in casing).
After sidetracking, the whipstock can be retrieved with KL fishing hook or LK die collar.
