Application

PT-U flat-bottom universal impression block determines size and position of a fish in tubing string during remediation in borehole. It features replacable blocks: lead, bitumen and ceresin, significantly extending application.

Design

The impression block consists of a sub with thread connections, a body with thread connection, a retaining screw and a block. The impression block has watercourse for circulation.
The block is available in lead, bitumen or ceresin. For each block there is its own type of the body. Variety of material plasticity helps to pick up proper block to obtain impression of a fish. 
Durable connection between the block and the body precludes the block from being left in hole.
The impression block is made up on the fishing string and run in hole until it gets in the contact with the fish/obstruction.
